Christopher Fisher
Siok Lian Tan is Professor of Piano at Miami University. She has been featured on Cincinnati Public Radio (WGUC) and appeared as a soloist with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. Her solo and chamber performances have taken her to major cities around the world. She has recorded chamber works by James Lentini on the Naxos label.
Dr. Tan has presented at national and international conferences and published in American Music Teacher and Clavier Companion. Her honors include the 2011 OhioMTA Teacher of the Year Award, the 2020 Crossan Hays Curry Distinguished Educator Award, and the 2023 American Music Teacher Article of the Year. She currently serves as East Central Division Commissioner for the MTNA National Certification Commission.
