Suzanne Newcomb has been involved with OhioMTA for 24 years. In her home district, Central East, she has held many chairman positions as well as serving as president for four years. Suzanne was chosen as the district certified teacher of the year in 2011. Suzanne was the chairman of the 2015 state conference held in Columbus. On the state level, Suzanne has served as President and Student Activities VP.
Suzanne graduated from CCM with a Bachelor of Music and from Peabody with a Master and Doctorate of Music in piano performance. She is an active performer of solo and chamber music. She teaches at Otterbein University and has a thriving private studio at her home in Upper Arlington.
OhioMTA supports MTNA's Fellow Program by promoting donations in the name of individuals who have contributed significantly to the work of MTNA and/or OhioMTA. Individuals are selected yearly by the Executive Committee. The following is a list of individuals who have been honored in this manner.

Two OhioMTA members were honored for 50 years of service and four members were honored for 25 years of service at the 2022 OhioMTA State Conference held in June.
