
Annette Hoverman has a Bachelor of Music Degree in Piano Performance from Bowling Green State University. She has a full studio of piano students who are actively involved in recitals, competitions, and festivals. She is a nationally certified member of the Music Teachers National Association, and has held several state office positions, including VP for Conferences, Affiliated Associations, and Membership. Annette has also served on the OhioMTA Certification and Scholarship Boards and has chaired three OhioMTA State Conferences. She served as the Chair of the OhioMTA Independent Music Teachers, has mentored teachers for OhioMTA Certification, and has served as President of the Middle West District.
Annette enjoys accompanying for school choirs and soloists, and is the OMEA D3 High School and D3 Jr. High Honor Festival Choir accompanist. Annette is the chairman of the National Piano Guild Van Wert Center and adjudicates for the Piano Guild, as well as numerous competitions and festivals.
As a previous owner of Hoverman Music Center with her husband, Paul, she has hosted numerous workshops, clinics, and concerts featuring some of the nation’s leading composers, educators, and performers. Annette is married to her husband, Paul - a professional trumpet player, retired performing arts director, and church choir director. They have three adult children; all musicians in their own right. Their lives together have been to promote excellence in music.
